| Have you completed a year of national service with AmeriCorps*VISTA? Do you want to improve your leadership skills while working on asset building and community development initiatives in Oregon? The Oregon Microenterprise Network (OMEN) is currently recruiting outstanding, energetic, and enthusiastic VISTA alumni to fill its AmeriCorps*VISTA Leader position. OMEN is a statewide association of microenterprise development organizations and their supporters. OMEN supports members' efforts by providing training and technical assistance, capacity building, public education, and resources such as members of the Asset Building VISTA Corps (ABC). OMEN's ABC is a team of 10-15 VISTA members placed at Host Sites throughout Oregon. The VISTAs work on a wide array of projects associated with asset building, such as Individual Development Account programs, financial literacy curriculum development, organizational fund development, and regional food system development. The VISTA Leader provides support, resource development, mentorship, and training for the members of OMEN’s Asset Building VISTA Corps. The Leader works to expand the capacity of OMEN to serve the Asset Building VISTA Corps and member organizations through resource and program development, publication of quarterly newsletter, the Oregon Vantage, compilation of monthly e-newsletter, MicroMusings, and through statewide networking opportunities.
