Job Summary:
 
The Clint is looking for a Database Administrator for our Portland based headquarters to monitor and maintain the infrastructure and databases in a hosted service environment.
They are looking for a talented Database Administrator with a mix of technology, integrity, drive, customer focus and a proven track record of success and experience. Primary Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain SQL Server 2008 & 2008R2 databases.
Build, deploy and support production Microsoft Windows/SQL based infrastructure.
Develop process and informational documentation.
Participation in a 24x7 on call rotation


Interaction:

Ability to work independently and in teams to quickly identify problem areas and implement solutions to meet a dynamically changing environment.
This position operates in a team-oriented environment. As a result, the incumbent must build and maintain strong and effective working relationships internally with the engineering, sales engineers, account management team, customer support.


Supervision:

This is an individual contributor position with daily interaction and direction provided by the operations management team.


Required Skills/Education:

Minimum of 3+ years experience in a fast paced, technology based, customer orientated environment.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical audiences verbally and in writing.
Ongoing desire to stay current with the latest technologies.
Strong work ethic focused on providing excellent customer service.
Accountable, determined, diligent and focused.
One or more of the following skills are required
MS SQL Administration and Maintenance
MS SQL Development
Scripting

Working Conditions:

This position is located in a high rise in downtown Portland.
Must have experience working under tight deadlines and in stressful situations.
Incumbent must pass background check
